My Trip

The final route.

Objectives
To explore and investigate literacy learning and attainment across America, specifically within communities with high levels of social deprivation with a focus on finding new, exciting and eccentric ideas around engaging children and young people in literacy learning!

I will do this through:
Engaging with schools of mixed provision and status in the states I visit
Engaging with community organisations supporting literacy projects in the states I visit
Engaging with “local authorities” for education in the states I visit
Engaging with academics in respected national and international institutions
Engaging with education policy makers nationally with links to in the states I visit

I will also be acting as an "ambassador for Nottingham",  promoting Nottingham and Nottinghamshire as a City of Literature and a county of literacy.
